jess-yess asked: My dad absentmindedly handed me a copy of Another Roadside Attraction when I was 12, and it blew my tiny mind. Needless to say, I now conceptualize my life as pre and post Tom Robbins. Thanks for the blog!

This is my tattoo. The word says “Erleichda” and that is an image of a beet; it is a reference from a book called Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins. That book changed my life forever. Basically the word, in the book, means “lighten up” and comes from an ancient language long forgotten. After reading this book i have felt better about life than ever before. i have struggled with anxiety, depression and worse for nearly my entire life. This book has given me new hope and the tattoo is a reminder that sometimes i need to just lighten up.
